One full day course. Mosaic patterns and mould will be supplied. Students learn to construct mosaic patterning and moulding technique for table tops and stepping stones. Working with glass you will learn to cut, shape and arrange tesserae (mosaic tiles) and to grout the work.
You will learn to make a beautiful mosaic table for your sun room or patio, even if you’ve never done mosaics before. Experienced glass artists are encouraged to bring in their favourite glass and hand tools to cut more advanced designs. We will teach you a variety of glass cutting techniques including shape cutting and with the different glass cutting tools you will create different effects and finishes.
The possibilities are endless - table tops, splash backs, terracotta pots, paving slabs. Projects can be tailor made to suit your individual ideas.
